Vaudemange occupies a small pocket of vineyard on mild eastern slopes just below Verzenay's east shoulder, on the same Chardonnay-favouring exposure as the rest of the Perle Blanche. The plantings lean predominantly to Chardonnay, with a meaningful share of Pinot Noir, on chalk soils that share the same aptitude for white grapes seen at Trépail and Villers-Marmery. The village is genuinely small, with only a handful of resident grower estates and a quiet profile in the wider trade. Mumm controls a meaningful share of the parcels here. Vaudemange sits on the same Chardonnay-on-Pinot-mountain story as its Perle Blanche neighbours, just at a lower scale and with less name recognition.
