These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Parcelles application ("the app", "Parcelles", "we", "our"). By downloading or using Parcelles, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. About the app

Parcelles is an independent application for exploring the vineyards and villages of the Champagne wine region. It provides terroir analysis, geological data, climate records, and cartographic information for educational and informational purposes.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Parcelles. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Parcelles for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the app or its contents
  • Use the app's data, maps, or analysis for commercial purposes without written permission
  • Attempt to extract or scrape data from the app programmatically
  • Use the app in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations

4. In-app purchases

Parcelles offers optional one-time in-app purchases (Pro and Ultimate) that unlock additional features. These purchases are:

  • Non-consumable: You pay once and retain access permanently, including future updates to those features
  • Non-refundable through us: All purchases are processed by Apple via the App Store. Refund requests must be directed to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com
  • Restorable: You can restore purchases on any device signed into the same Apple ID

Prices are displayed in the app and may vary by region due to App Store pricing. We reserve the right to change pricing for future purchases, but this will not affect existing purchases.

5. Data accuracy

Parcelles combines data from multiple official and open-source datasets. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that all information is complete, current, or error-free. Specifically:

  • Vineyard boundaries are based on official AOC delimitations but may contain inaccuracies
  • Geological and terrain data are derived from public datasets and models, not from on-site surveys
  • Climate data is sourced from historical records and may not reflect current conditions
  • Parcel-to-bottle tracing is based on publicly available information and may be incomplete

Parcelles is intended for informational and educational purposes. Do not rely on it for commercial decisions, legal boundary disputes, or agricultural planning without independent verification.

6. Intellectual property

All content, design, code, and branding of Parcelles are owned by us or licensed to us. The vineyard data, analysis, and cartographic presentations are protected by copyright. Third-party data sources retain their respective licenses and attributions.

7. Availability and updates

We aim to keep Parcelles available and up-to-date, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may:

  • Update the app to improve features, fix bugs, or comply with platform requirements
  • Modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice
  • Temporarily suspend access for maintenance

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Parcelles and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim related to the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for in-app purchases.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Parcelles if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it from your device.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Switzerland.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
