Taissy is a Premier Cru on the southeast edge of Reims, with a moderately sized vineyard area split fairly evenly between Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir. The village's modern identity is shaped by a major mid-sized Champagne house's production headquarters, which sit here for logistical reasons rather than any particular terroir identification. Most of the village's fruit goes into the blends of major maisons.
