Cormontreuil is a Reims suburb on the south side of the city, with only a small patch of vineyard remaining, split evenly between Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. There are no resident producers of note. The Premier Cru classification reflects the historical productivity of the slopes that once stretched here rather than any contemporary identity, and Cormontreuil today is one of the smallest Premier Crus in Champagne by vineyard surface.
