Jouy-lès-Reims sits on the northern Montagne de Reims, on northeast-facing slopes predominantly planted to Pinot Meunier. The village is most closely associated with one of the few estates in Champagne that has committed to growing the region's nearly forgotten heritage grape varieties, including Arbanne, Petit Meslier, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Blanc, alongside the standard three. A flagship cuvée from the village is one of only a few Champagnes vinified from all six of the legal grape varieties in the AOC.
